Shirred eggs

Ingredients

4 eggs

Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

1⁄4 cup freshly grated Asiago cheese

Chives, to garnish


Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease 4 (4-oz ) ramekins. Crack 1 egg into each dish. Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle with Asiago cheese. Cover ramekins with foil and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until eggs are set. Remove eggs from ramekins and garnish with chives. Serves 4.
